“Whatever you do, be sure to do it well.” — Andrena Sawyer
I’m a Visual Merchandising Editor and the voice behind Merchant of Visuals—a platform and perspective shaped by nearly two decades in the fashion and retail industry.
Originally from Toledo, Ohio, I moved to New York City in 2008 to attend Parsons The New School for Design. NYC became the backdrop for a 12-year journey that sharpened my aesthetic sensibility, work ethic, and commitment to storytelling through space.
From managing shop-in-shops to directing large-scale retail transformations, I’ve worked across field and corporate roles with brands like Tory Burch, Birkenstock, Marimekko, and Zadig & Voltaire. Today, I bring that experience to my current role as Regional Visual Merchandising Manager at Marc Jacobs, a position I’ve proudly held since September 2023.
My work spans project management, creative direction, and immersive visual strategy—grounded in both instinct and execution. I don’t just install windows or style mannequins. I edit environments. I build visual stories that connect product to emotion, brand to customer.
Client experience includes: Macy’s, Saks OFF 5TH, Agnes B., Burberry, Nike, Ulla Johnson, Victoria’s Secret, Zen Genius, Unode50, Housing Works, Helpsy, Wearable Collections, and more.
If you're looking for thoughtful, strategic, and emotionally intelligent retail storytelling—I'm your Merchant of Visuals.
